Having grown up with a financial planner for a mom, conversations around finance and investing have always been a part of Sydney’s life. Much to her mother’s probable dismay, she initially veered away from finance and started her academic career studying chemistry. It didn’t take her long to find that her true passion lay in finance and switched from covalent bonds to corporate bonds. We’re grateful for Sydney’s change of heart, although perhaps her chemistry background will still come in handy as a potential in-house master cocktail mixologist. Sydney spends her free time planning her next adventure abroad, playing team sports or practicing yoga.

Prior to joining EdgePoint, Sydney spent a year working alongside an independent financial advisor in London. She earned her Honours B.A. in Finance from Western University.
