Born in Victoria, B.C. and having lived for ten years in Singapore, it's no surprise that Jason spent a large part of his younger years as a competitive sailor. Jason eventually left the high seas and found inland challenges both vertical (rock climbing) and horizontal (running races like the Boston Marathon). Before joining EdgePoint to lead private investments, he was a senior director at Tim Hortons and was the head of Media, and the head of Financial Planning & Analysis. Prior to that, Jason worked at Finepoint Capital in Boston, where he invested across the capital structure in public equities and credit, and also worked in private equity at Onex Partners in Toronto. He earned his B.Comm. from McMaster University. While we're mostly excited to have Jason on the team, we're worried that his uncanny ability to find value will dominate our company fantasy leagues.
