Originally from Colombia, Andres and his family took a leap of faith in 2019, packing up their lives and moving to Canada without knowing a soul. It wasn’t easy – especially with a crash course in snow shoveling – but through perseverance and optimism, they’ve built a new life they’re proud of. Andres brings over 15 years of experience in financial services, specializing in trading and investment operations. Outside of work, he’s a passionate soccer fan who rarely misses a major match, and when the game’s over, you’ll find him enjoying time with his family over a good cup of coffee – still searching for one that rivals the Colombian brew he grew up with.

Prior to joining EdgePoint’s Trade Operations team, Andres worked as a trade operations analyst at Liberty International Investment Management and as a client experience associate at OANDA. He holds a B.Fin in Finance and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia and an M.Fin from Universidad de Los Andes.
