    Sarah Ford “like the car”, as she explains her name’s spelling, applies a “quality is job one” mantra to everything she does. Whether it’s cooking (and eating), “cheer mom” duties or working as a relationship manager with EdgePoint advisor partners, she’s driven to pursue excellence. With one of the most eclectic territories in Canadian wholesaling, at any point in time you may find Sarah bounding up Bay St. in Toronto, hustling down Water Street in St. John’s or skipping across Queen Street in Charlottetown. Before EdgePoint, Sarah worked at NEI Investments as an inside sales representative and a manager, information systems and marketing. She holds an Honours B.Comm. from McMaster University as well as the CIM designation. Sarah has been an EdgePoint partner for 17.4 years.

  • Claire Thornhill

    Claire hails from Killavullen in County Cork, a small village of just 250 people but with a claim to fame of being the ancestral home of the Hennessy brandy family. Growing up in Ireland, Claire developed her love of the great outdoors early, hiking and biking the mountains around her home, usually in the rain. On a gap year spent bartending in Toronto, Claire fell for the city and eventually swapped the Irish rain for the Canadian winter in January 2013. Before joining EdgePoint, Claire worked as an analyst at CI Financial Corp. She earned both her BBS in Economics & Finance and MSc in Finance from the University of Limerick, and is a CFA charterholder. Claire has been an EdgePoint partner for 5.8 years.

  • Alex O'Hara

    You’d literally have to search high and low to find something that scares Alex – he has fears of both flying and bodies of water where he can’t see the bottom. However, he’s never let these things stop him as he’s managed to travel to Europe several times with his family. Hockey is a big part of Alex’s life since he never misses a Leafs game and played ever since he was a kid. He admits that he plays purely for the love of the game since his passion for it outweighs his actual coordination level. Prior to joining EdgePoint, Alex worked as an investment analyst at CI Investments Inc. He earned both a BBA in Finance and a BA in Financial Mathematics from Wilfrid Laurier University. Alex is a CFA charterholder. Alex has been an EdgePoint partner for 3.7 years.

  • Frank Mullen

    Frank, our Chief Investment Officer, is one of the highest-energy EdgePoint partners, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that he was one of the main drivers behind launching and leading our fixed income franchise. His positivity around the office is infectious – the only gears that Frank grinds are when he’s on his bike, whether it’s on asphalt, gravel or mountain trails. Speaking of mountains, Frank is also an avid skier and enjoys the higher ground all year. We’re not sure how he finds the energy to raise his three amazing kids, but we also have yet to find a challenge Frank hasn’t been able to meet. Prior to joining EdgePoint, Frank was an associate at HSBC Global Banking and Markets. He earned his B.Comm. from Queen’s University and is a CFA charterholder. Frank has been an EdgePoint partner for 17 years.

  • Steven Lo

    Out in Scarborough, born and raised, in a playground is where Steven spent most of his days. Usually chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool, and shooting some b-ball (and playing soccer) outside of his school. Basketball, specifically fantasy basketball helped get him into investing when he saw the benefit of finding hidden value in certain players. Steven’s hard work paid off at only 13 when he finished in the top percentile on NBA.com Fantasy Basketball. Internally, we're worried about his dominating our company leagues, but we're sure that he'll be reading more annual reports and prospectuses than when he was a teenager. Before joining EdgePoint as one of our freshest members, Steven worked in Los Angeles as an associate at Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. and an investment banking analyst at Moelis & Company. He earned his HBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University and is a CFA charterholder. Steven has been an EdgePoint partner for 6.8 years.
